This violin bow is made from an octagonal pernambuco stick that is highly flamed and golden-brown in color. The frog is made from mammoth ivory and mounted in gold. The inlay on the frog is a gold fleur-de-lys. The button is made in three parts with gold and mammoth ivory. The grip is made of lizard in two parts embellished with gold wire. This bow was made in July of 2008, is moderately stiff, has a crisp spicatto, and pulls out a rich, complex sound.
